Stivio does one job: you upload a photo — a product shot, a portrait, an old print — describe the motion in plain English, and it renders the video through your choice of six current models, including Kling, Wan, MiniMax and Seedance.
Single-job tools live or die on price, so here is the arithmetic.
What a video costs
The Pro plan is $19 a month for 200 credits, which Stivio quotes as up to 20 five-second videos. That is roughly $0.95 per video, or about $0.19 a second. The Team plan ($59, 800 credits) works out the same per video — you are buying volume, not a discount.
Against the raw APIs we run in production: MiniMax-class silent b-roll has cost us about $0.08 a second, and Seedance about $0.30 a second for generation-native audio, in measured spend. So Stivio sits in the middle — you pay a premium over the cheap models and a discount on the expensive one, flattened into one number. For occasional use that flat number is the point; for volume it is the problem.
Two things in their pricing genuinely help: there is a free tier — 10 credits on signup, enough for one real video, no card — and they say failed generations are auto-refunded. That second one matters more than it sounds; paying for rejects is where image-to-video budgets actually die, and most platforms quietly keep the money.
What we can’t tell you
We have not pushed our own footage through it, so we can’t say how its model routing, prompt handling or reject rate compares with hitting the same models directly. The free video is the honest way to find out: bring the exact photo you care about, not their demo.
