RobotTraining.jobs is a free job board for the strangest new labour market of the decade: humans paid to train robots. Teleoperation shifts, demonstration recording (do the task while the robot watches), at-home data collection — aggregated from the hiring pages of the humanoid and physical-AI companies, with pay research ($10–$40/hr ranges) and job-type explainers. The board showed over a thousand open roles when we visited, refreshed within hours.
This is the data-labelling story repeating one rung up: the way image tagging built the last AI wave, recorded demonstrations are building the robot wave, and the work is reachable — often no degree, sometimes no commute.
What it costs
Free for job seekers, including the matching service; the board presumably monetises on the employer side, which is the right way round.
What we can’t tell you
How much of the thousand is real and current — every aggregator inherits its sources’ staleness, and hot-sector boards attract reposted ghosts. Standard job-board hygiene applies: apply at the company’s own page (the board links out), never pay anything to “qualify”, and treat at-home gigs requiring you to buy equipment as the scams they usually are. The teleoperation listings at named robotics companies are the solid core.
